Jammu, June 21: In alignment with the theme of International Yoga Day 2026, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” Army Public School Kaluchak organized a special yoga session to promote physical well-being, mental wellness, and mindful living among students. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets and students of Classes VIII to XII, reflecting their commitment to discipline, fitness, and holistic development. Held under the patronage of Principal Mrs. Namarta, the session commenced with a series of yogic asanas, pranayama exercises, and meditation techniques. The activities highlighted the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, enhancing concentration, fostering self-discipline, and encouraging healthy lifestyle habits. The event was meticulously organized under the guidance of the Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) with the unwavering support of the school management. It aligned with the broader objectives of International Yoga Day and served as a reminder of yoga’s enduring relevance as a pathway to physical vitality, mental composure, and overall well-being. In keeping with the spirit of the occasion, all participating students registered for the Ministry of Ayush’s 21-Day Online Yoga Programme, an initiative aimed at encouraging the regular practice of yoga and promoting healthy living. The celebration not only fostered a sense of unity, discipline, and wellness among the participants but also reinforced the timeless significance of yoga. Students carried forward the essence of yoga beyond the day’s observance, with a renewed appreciation of yoga as a way of life that nurtures harmony between the body, mind, and spirit. |
