Sunderbani, June 21: The 12th International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the campus of 72 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sunderbani. This year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” aimed to encourage people of all age groups to adopt a healthy, active, and balanced lifestyle. The event was led by Commandant Jitendra Singh Yadav, who actively participated in the yoga session and addressed officers, jawans, and their family members. He highlighted that yoga is India’s ancient and invaluable heritage that not only strengthens physical health but also promotes mental peace, self-discipline, and a positive outlook on life. He encouraged everyone to make yoga a regular part of their daily routine for a stress-free and healthy life. Among those present were Second-in-Command Vineet Kumar, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rajan Kumar, Assistant Commandant Sumit Soren, along with other officers, personnel, and family members. During the session, participants were provided detailed information about physical fitness, mental well-being, stress management, and healthy living through yoga. All attendees participated enthusiastically and pledged to incorporate yoga into their daily lives. At the conclusion of the programme, Commandant Jitendra Singh Yadav and other senior officers expressed gratitude to the participants, media representatives, and all officials involved in organizing the event. They emphasized that International Yoga Day, observed globally on June 21 each year, conveys a message of health, harmony, and holistic well-being for humanity. |
