Early Times Report RAMGARH, June 25: BJP Jammu & Kashmir President and Rajya Sabha MP CA Sat Sharma, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh, Chander Prakash Ganga, MLA Vijaypur, Surjeet Singh Slathia, MLA Samba, Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, MLA Suchetgarh, Mohan Lal Bhagat, MLA Akhnoor, Surinder Kumar, MLA Marh, BJP Jammu & Kashmir Vice Presidents Rashpal Verma and Rekha Mahajan, BJP J&K General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, District President Asha Rani, former MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma, former DDC Chairman Samba Keshav Dutt Sharma, and former BDC Chairmen Darshan Singh and Radhey Shyam today paid obeisance at the holy shrine of Baba Chamliyal Ji (Baba Dalip Singh Manhas Ji) situated along the International Border in Ramgarh, Samba district. The leaders offered prayers and sought blessings for peace, prosperity, harmony and the well-being of the people during the 323rd Historic Baba Chamliyal Mela, which attracts lakhs of devotees every year. Speaking on the occasion, CA Sat Sharma said that Baba Chamliyal Mela is a unique symbol of faith, brotherhood and shared heritage. He said that the shrine, located on the International Border, holds immense religious significance and attracts devotees from across the country. He further noted that the mela is also observed across the border in Pakistan, reflecting the deep spiritual connection associated with Baba Chamliyal Ji. Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh, said that the Government is committed to the development and promotion of this historic and internationally renowned religious site. He emphasized that efforts will continue to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees so that the shrine receives greater recognition and development in the coming years. The leaders highlighted the spiritual, cultural and historical importance of the shrine and appreciated the efforts of the district administration, security forces, volunteers and local residents in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the mela. On the occasion, the leaders prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity in Jammu & Kashmir and the nation, while extending their greetings to all devotees participating in the sacred annual congregation. |
