| Director Animal Husbandry Jammu reviews developmental programmes | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 27: Director Animal Husbandry Jammu Dr Sanjay Gupta chaired a review meeting at the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Talab Tillo, Jammu, to assess progress of key developmental programmes across Jammu Division. The meeting undertook a detailed review of the implementation status of dairy, poultry and fodder development projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), CAPEX works and NABARD-funded projects. Particular attention was paid to infrastructure projects including the construction and upgradation of veterinary hospitals and dispensaries, institutional poultry farms and hatcheries and other developmental infrastructure across the division. District-wise progress was examined and officers were directed to ensure timely completion of works and effective implementation of all approved projects. Dr Gupta directed all Chief Animal Husbandry Officers to ensure optimum and timely utilisation of allocated funds, adhere to prescribed timelines and resolve bottlenecks at the earliest. He also instructed districts to expedite the uploading of pending Artificial Insemination data on the designated portal to ensure accurate reporting and effective monitoring. Reviewing preparedness for the 8th Round of Foot and Mouth Disease vaccinations under the National Animal Disease Control Programme, scheduled for 2 July across the division, the Director directed all Chief Animal Husbandry Officers to ensure wide dissemination of information through print, electronic and social media and to conduct village-level awareness activities so that livestock owners are well informed and maximum coverage is achieved. Among those present were all Chief Animal Husbandry Officers of the Jammu Division, the Deputy Director (Planning), officers from the HADP cell and technical section and staff from the planning and publicity wings of the Directorate. |
