REASI, June 30: Continuing its sustained drive against drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Reasi Police has registered FIR against a person found under the influence of narcotic substances in the Talwara area. Today, Police Post Talwara received reliable information that one person, namely Sunil Singh S/O Kikkar, R/O Migrant Colony, Talwara, had allegedly consumed a narcotic substance near the Main Market area of Talwara.Acting swiftly on the information, the police apprehended the individual and subjected him to a medical examination using a Rapid Multi-Drug Urine Test Kit. The positive report confirmed the consumption of Cannabis (THC). Accordingly, FIR No. 119/2026 under Section 8/27 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi, and investigation into the case has been taken up. Reasi Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against drug abuse and urges the public to cooperate by sharing any information related to the sale or consumption of narcotic substances. |
