Early Times Report JAMMU, June 30: Dr. Poonam Sethi, Director Health Services, Jammu, today conducted an extensive tour of Healthcare facilities along the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra route in Udhampur and Ramban Districts to assess the preparedness of the Health Department for the ongoing pilgrimage. During the visit, Director Health Services, Jammu inspected Health institutions, Medical aid facilities, Langar facilities at PHC Tikri, CHC Chenani, Yatri Niwas Chanderkot, Langar Chanderkot, PHC Ramsoo, Block Ukheral and Health Care Facility at Lambar Ground Banihal. She reviewed the availability of essential medicines, medical equipment, emergency healthcare services, ambulance deployment, and the preparedness of medical and paramedical staff stationed at various locations. Dr. Poonam Sethi interacted with healthcare personnel and directed them to remain vigilant and ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to pilgrims and the local population. She emphasized maintaining adequate stocks of medicines, ensuring the functionality of medical equipment, and keeping emergency response systems fully operational throughout the yatra period. DHS Jammu also stressed the importance of effective coordination among healthcare teams and instructed officers to address any gaps in healthcare delivery on priority to ensure seamless medical support during the pilgrimage.
