Early Times Report JAMMU, July 6: There has been an acute crisis of regular supply of pure drinking water in Jagti Township for last many days and the residents of this camp are facing huge hardships on this front in maintaining their day to day business of basic livelihood without regular supply of pure drinking water. There is brewing a great resentment among the displaced migrants of Jagti Township and TRT Nagrota who are the most affected migrants on this count in these hot days of summer. In a Joint Statement issued today by senior leader of the community M.K.Yogi and President displaced Kashmiri Pandit front Vinod Pandita have Jointly expressed grave concern over the acute shortage of pure drinking water in Jagti township and the woes and worries the community is facing in these hot days without regular supply of pure drinking water, have appealed Lt. Governor Chief Secretary and Relief and Rehabilitation commissioner J&K to immediately take the cognizance of this urgent and important issue and get the needful done on war footing so that displaced community living in exile here and TRT Nagrota feel a sigh of relief and comfort. They have also appealed for ensuring that regular supply of pure drinking water in Jagti Township, TRT Nagrota and other camps is maintained at all costs keeping in view the scorching heat and summer season. Other prominent members of the community who appealed for early remedial measures in resolving acute water crisis in Jagti Township were Vishal Jotshi, Jyoti Dhar, Ashok Kumar Koul, Vinod Bhat, Dazy Dhar, Palvi Sharma, Suraj Jotshi, Karuna and others. |
