JAMMU, July 6: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining, Jammu Police seized a truck involved in the unauthorized transportation of mining material within the jurisdiction of Chowkichaura.
During routine checking at Chowkichaura Naka, a police party intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. JK02AL-7645. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found loaded with sand (mining material) being transported without valid permission and the requisite documents.
Accordingly, the vehicle was seized, and the matter has been referred to the District Mineral Officer (DMO), Jammu, for further necessary action under the relevant provisions of the mining laws.
