Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, July 6: Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, conducted a briefing session through video conferencing with SSP Udhampur, SSP Reasi, SSP Traffic NHW Ramban, Addl. SP Katra, Dy.SP Hqrs Udhampur, SDPO Katra, SDPO Chenani, Dy.SP CID CI/SB Udhampur, SHO Udhampur, SHO Chenani, SHO Rehambal, SHO Katra, all Zonal Officers, Sector Officers deployed for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) duties. In view of the heavy influx of pilgrims and tourists, DIG emphasized the importance of courteous and professional conduct with yatries and tourists, effective traffic regulation, strict adherence to cut-off timings and compliance with all guidelines and instructions issued by higher formations. Officers were directed to strengthen checking at naka points so as to ensure hassel-free movement of registered yatra vehicles. All the territorial officers viz SDPOs and SHOs were directed to conduct checking at lodgement centres and langers to ensure robust security arrangements. He further stressed the need for seamless inter-agency coordination, continuous area domination, prompt response to emergencies, effective crowd management and maintaining high alertness to facilitate the safe, secure and smooth movement of Yatra convoy. All officers were instructed to remain vigilant, ensure effective public assistance and provide every possible support to the pilgrims/tourist while maintaining the highest standards of security and discipline. |
