Kishtwar, July 9: As part of its continued efforts to strengthen civil-military relations and support the welfare of the local population, a Veterinary Camp was organized at Chhatroo in collaboration with the Chief Animal Husbandry Office, Kishtwar. The camp aimed to provide quality veterinary healthcare services, promote livestock well-being and create awareness among livestock owners regarding disease prevention, proper nutrition and scientific animal husbandry practices. A team of qualified veterinary professional examined and treated animals brought by residents from Chhatroo and nearby villages. During the camp, 50 animals received medical examination and treatment, including preventive healthcare and essential veterinary advice. Livestock owners also interacted with veterinary experts and received guidance on improving animal health and productivity thereby contributing to enhanced rural livelihoods. The initiative is widely appreciated by the local community, who expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for extending essential veterinary services to the remote region. The event reinforced the spirit of cooperation between the security forces, civil administration and the local population while highlighting the shared commitment towards community welfare and sustainable rural development |
