Early Times Report JAMMU, July 11: Jammu witnessed a first-of-its-kind community initiative as AI Weekends (AI&W), in collaboration with MOBE, successfully organized the region's first-ever AI-powered community run, creating a unique experience where fitness, artificial intelligence, and collaborative innovation came together. It marked the first time the city experienced an event that seamlessly blended a community run with hands-on AI building, setting a new benchmark for community-led innovation in Jammu. The morning began with a community run led by MOBE, followed by an AI co-building session hosted by the AI Weekends Jammu chapter at The Grandstand, where participants gathered for a coffee rave and collaborative AI building session. Builders, founders, students, researchers, creators, and professionals explored emerging AI tools, exchanged ideas, worked on projects together, and connected with like-minded innovators in an open, builder-first environment. This milestone was made possible through the consistent efforts of MOBE, which over the last four to five months has played a pivotal role in cultivating Jammu's growing running culture. By building an inclusive fitness community and encouraging meaningful offline interactions, MOBE created the foundation for a collaboration that demonstrated how physical wellness and technological innovation can complement one another. AI Weekends (AI&W) is a rapidly growing, community-driven initiative dedicated to bringing together AI enthusiasts, founders, developers, researchers, students, and creators to learn, build, and ship projects collaboratively. Rather than focusing on traditional talks or conferences, AI&W emphasizes hands-on building, peer learning, and community-led innovation, enabling participants of all skill levels to experiment with emerging AI technologies and transform ideas into real-world solutions. The Jammu chapter is led by Krishna Saproo, Founder and CEO of NeuroXOHRD, a neuroscience and artificial intelligence startup working at the intersection of healthcare and emerging technologies. As the Superhost of AI Weekends Jammu, he is leading efforts to build a strong AI ecosystem in the region by creating spaces where builders, researchers, entrepreneurs, and students can collaborate, learn, and innovate together. One participant described the experience as the perfect blend of fitness and future-building: "I came for the run to stay fit and clear my head, but the AI building session made the morning even more meaningful. Running gives you discipline and energy, and building with AI gives that energy direction. It was exciting to be part of a space where people could sweat together, think together, and actually build something that matters." The initiative witnessed participation from across Jammu and several districts of Jammu and Kashmir, attracting members of the region's growing technology ecosystem. The event generated considerable enthusiasm both online and offline, with attendees describing it as a refreshing format that brought together wellness, innovation, and community under one roof. Speaking about the collaboration, the organizers said that meaningful innovation thrives when communities connect beyond screens. By combining a community run with collaborative AI building, AI Weekends and MOBE demonstrated that technology and wellness can together create stronger, healthier, and more connected communities. The organizers added that this marks the beginning of many such initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir, with AI Weekends and MOBE committed to jointly fostering an ecosystem where innovation, collaboration, entrepreneurship, and well-being grow hand in hand. |
