Early Times Report JAMMU, July 13: Director Agriculture Jammu, Shri Anil Gupta, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the physical and financial progress of key developmental schemes and projects being implemented across the Jammu Division under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), JKCIP, CAPEX, Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), and NABARD-funded projects. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Planning, SMS (RL), all Chief Agriculture Officers (CAOs) of Jammu Division, District Seed Certification Officer (DSCO) Jammu, Farm Manager, Seed Multiplication Farm (SM Farm) Chinore, Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) from Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts, and officers from the Planning and CSS Sections of the Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu. During the meeting, the Director conducted a detailed review of the physical achievements, financial utilisation, implementation status, and district-wise progress of all major developmental programmes. Special emphasis was laid on the progress of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY), Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM), Rainfed Area Development (RAD), Per Drop More Crop (PDMC), Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), National Food Security Mission-Food Grains Crops (NFSM-FGC), National Food Security Mission-Oilseeds (NFSM-OS), Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), and National Natural Farming Mission (NHNF). He also reviewed the implementation of ongoing infrastructure works, irrigation projects, farm development activities, seed production programmes, and other flagship initiatives being executed across the division. Expressing the need for accelerated implementation, Shri Anil Gupta directed all field officers to ensure that developmental works are executed strictly in accordance with the approved action plans and prescribed timelines. He instructed the concerned officers to intensify field monitoring, resolve implementation bottlenecks promptly, and maintain the highest standards of quality in all works. He instructed all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to maintain financial discipline, ensure prompt processing of eligible payments, and avoid delays in expenditure. Anil Gupta further directed the officers to strengthen coordination among district offices, maintain accurate documentation, submit periodic progress reports on time, and closely monitor the implementation of all departmental schemes to ensure that benefits reach the farming community effectively. He reiterated that the Agriculture Department remains committed to delivering quality infrastructure, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and ensuring the efficient implementation of all flagship programmes for the welfare of farmers across the Jammu Division. The meeting concluded with district-wise discussions on implementation challenges, following which the Director issued necessary directions for expediting pending works and achieving the targets set for the current financial year. |
