| Rajouri police detains two notorious bovine smugglers Under Public Safety Act | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 15: Continuing its relentless drive against bovine smuggling and habitual offenders, Rajouri Police has detained two notorious bovine smugglers under the provisions of the PSA for their persistent involvement in the illegal bovine smuggling. The Accused persons have been identified as: Zaffar Hussain S/O Mohd Sharief R/O Ninga Nar Tehsil and District Rajouri. Shakoor Ahmed S/O Ghulam Ahmed R/O Rajdhani Tehsil Thanamandi District Rajouri. Both individuals are habitual bovine smugglers with a history of repeated involvement in multiple bovine smuggling cases registered at Police Station Rajouri, Police Station Thanamandi and other police stations of District Rajouri. Despite repeated legal action in the past, they continued to indulge in the illegal transportation and smuggling of bovines necessitating their preventive detention under the PSA. The detention warrants issued by the Competent Authority were executed by Police Teams of Police Station Rajouri and Police Station Thanamandi respectively. Following the execution of the warrants, both detainees have been lodged in District Jail. Rajouri Police remains Committed to maintaining public order and enforcing the rule of law. The district police will continue to take stringent action against habitual bovine smugglers and to effectively curb illegal activities. |
