| Police attached moveable property of notorious drug peddler under NDPS Act | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, July 21: Continuing its sustained crackdown against the drug menace under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Samba Police has attached a motorcycle bearing registration No. JK21F-9647 valued at approximately rupees 75,000.00 belonging to notorious drug peddler Kuljit Singh S/o Bharat Singh R/o Sanoora tehsil Rajpura district Samba, under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. During the course of investigation, the motorcycle was identified as property acquired through the proceeds of illicit drug trafficking. Accordingly, the vehicle has been attached in accordance with the provisions of the NDPS Act as part of the legal action against assets generated from narcotics-related activities. It is pertinent to mention that Kuljit Singh is a notorious drug peddler who has also been detained under PITNDPS Act and presently lodged in the District Jail Jammu. Samba Police reiterate its firm commitment to dismantling the financial networks of drug traffickers by targeting properties and assets acquired through the proceeds of narcotics trafficking. Such decisive action reflects the department unwavering resolve to eradicate the drug menace and safeguard the youth from the harmful effects of narcotic substances.
