| Rajouri police arrests drug peddler, recovers 3.16 grams of Heroin like narcotic substance in Nowshera | | |

RAJOURI, July 22: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, Police Station Nowshera has arrested drug peddler and recovered approx 3.16 grams of heroin like narcotic substance from his possession.During routine checking at Dandesar on NHW-144A Swift car bearing registration number JK11B-0021 was intercepted by the Police Party. The vehicle was being driven by Mohd Amir Farooq S/o Farooq Bhat R/o Rajouri.
During his personal search approx 3.16 grams of heroin like narcotic substance was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and the recovered contraband was seized as per the prescribed legal procedure.
In this regard a Case FIR No. 141/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowshera and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and possible backward and forward linkages of the seized narcotics. |
