| DC reviews implementation of HADP, JKCIP and agriculture credit-linked schemes in Udhampur | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, July 22: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a review meeting with officers of line departments to assess implementation and progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), JKCIP and other agriculture credit-linked schemes. Among those present were Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore and officers of departments concerned. Chief Agriculture Officer Vikas Padha presented a comprehensive overview of the department's performance. He highlighted the implementation status of various schemes, establishment and tracking of units, financial utilisation, registration of Kisan Khidmat Ghars, credit flow under HADP, including applications received and sanctioned, issuance of Soil Health Cards and the status of JKCIP applications in terms of coverage and approvals. Reviewing progress, the DC directed departments concerned and banking institutions to intensify awareness and outreach efforts to ensure every eligible farmer and farming family benefits from these flagship initiatives, and instructed departments to adopt a proactive and coordinated approach to expedite processing and sanctioning of pending HADP applications. The DC said seamless implementation and collective efforts are essential for achieving sustainable outcomes, and directed officers to ensure all schemes are implemented in a transparent and time-bound manner so eligible beneficiaries receive intended benefits without delay. He also instructed departments concerned to accelerate disposal and approval of JKCIP cases to improve the scheme's overall progress. |
