REASI, July 22: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a meeting of district officers from various departments at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to review arrangements for the successful celebration of Independence Day 2026.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed in detail preparations required for the national event to be conducted at General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium and directed all departments to ensure timely completion of tasks assigned to them.
The meeting discussed security arrangements, venue management, sanitation, drinking water supply, uninterrupted power supply, traffic regulation, transportation, healthcare facilities, illumination of government offices and heritage buildings, seating arrangements, public address systems, cultural programmes and other logistical requirements.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi directed officers concerned to remain vigilant and responsive to requirements arising during preparations and on the day of the event.
He further directed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates to convene meetings at their respective headquarters and ensure similar arrangements for the successful celebration of Independence Day in their sub-divisions.
Among those present were SSP Mukund Tibrewal, ADDC Krishan Lal, ADC Rakesh Kumar, ACR Nitin Verma, CPO Narinder Kumar, ACD Mukesh Sharma and other senior officers. |
