MANDI GOBINDGARH, July 25: Reinforcing its commitment to promoting quality research and academic excellence, the Faculty of Nursing, Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with the Research and Development Cell and the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized a workshop on "Research Paper Writing and Journal Publication Support." The workshop was aimed at enhancing the research, scientific writing, and publication skills of faculty members, researchers, and students.
The workshop was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Lovesampurnjot Kaur, Principal, Faculty of Nursing, who served as the resource person. She delivered a comprehensive session covering the essentials of research paper writing, including identifying relevant research topics, structuring manuscripts, drafting effective abstracts, preparing references, and maintaining academic integrity.
Principal also guided participants on selecting reputed journals, identifying and avoiding predatory journals, responding effectively to reviewers' comments, and adopting strategies to improve the chances of successful publication in quality indexed journals.
The interactive session provided valuable insights into manuscript preparation, ethical practices in research publication, plagiarism prevention, and the significance of publishing evidence-based research. Participants actively engaged in discussions and gained practical knowledge to strengthen their research capabilities and scholarly contributions.
The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where participants sought clarification on manuscript submission, publication procedures, and journal selection. The programme received an enthusiastic response and motivated attendees to pursue impactful research and high-quality academic publications.
