| Aganwadi workers to hold demonstration at PO offices | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 26: Aganwadi Workers Welfare Association will hold demonstration at district levels while addressing the Media persons Ashok Choudhary Deputy Organizing Secretary North Zone and in charge un organized sector, Shoba Sharma General Secretary Aganwadi workers welfare Association and Harbans Choudhary senior leader of BMS Some CDPO,s and Supervisors are harassing the workers for giving GEO tag photos thrice in a day too with 2019 2-G out dated Mobile phones which were given in 2018-19 and are of 2G technology and now work load is increased too much and phones given are become out dated and not working properly and some CDPO and supervisors are compelling the Aganwadi workers for giving affidavits admitting as misconduct and have to give in writing on affidavit that department is at liberty to terminate their service in case photo is not up loaded or other services due to other technical glitches . Association alleged that department has been given budget for purchasing Mobile Phones @ Rs 11000/- by the central Govt. about year ago but due to vested interests phones has not been purchased so for. Association demands that before asking any technological services Mobiles be given along with SIM and recharge through department till than workers be not pressurize
It was also alleged numbers of issues pertaining to Aganwadi workers and helpers were also high lighted before Social Welfare Minister in the month of June 2026 but no any action has been taken so for it is pertinent to mention here that Jammu Kashmir is the only state who is giving very meager amount of Rs 600 as state share since 2010 and no any increase has been given from the last 16 years whereas on the other hand all neighboring states are giving between 5000 to 10000/- as state shares, poshan tracker incentive, fuel charges and Rent also not released timely, nutrition is also not being provided by the department. And main reason is GEM otherwise purchasing committee exist but not effectively working and Take Home Ration formality are taken monthly but ration is not provided and due to this beneficiaries protest |
