In a press statement, SRS J&K UT President Rajiv Mahajan said that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a day of pride and gratitude for every Indian. He said the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces displayed extraordinary valour and determination in defending the country's sovereignty under the most challenging conditions. Mahajan said the nation will always remain indebted to the martyrs whose sacrifices ensured India's victory in the Kargil conflict. He urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from the courage, discipline, and selfless service of the armed forces and to uphold the values of patriotism and national unity. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all serving and retired personnel of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and other security forces for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation's borders and maintaining peace and security.
