Early Times Report JAMMU, July 27: The District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) met today at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Jammu to consider applications received under the self-employment scheme. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jammu Vidhu Shekhar chaired the meeting, attended by representatives of the implementing and financing agencies. A total of 38 applications were placed before the Committee for scrutiny. After detailed evaluation, 30 cases were approved for financial assistance under the JKREGP. Seven applicants remained absent, while one case was deferred for consideration at a later stage after completion of the required formalities. The Committee assessed the viability of each project and emphasised transparent, timely and merit-based selection to ensure that genuine entrepreneurs receive support. The Chair urged the participating banks and implementing agencies to process the approved cases promptly so that eligible beneficiaries can establish their enterprises without delay. Among those present were District Officer Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Mohammad Sadiq, Lead District Manager (LDM) SBI Ajay Thappa, Director RSETI SBI Sunny Goja, Cluster Head J&K Bank Neena Gupta, a representative of J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) and other officers concerned. |
