| BJP's Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan widely propagating the teachings of Guru Ravidass: Balbir | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 5: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson, author and social activist Balbir Ram Rattan has said that the Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan, launched by the Bharatiya Janata Party to commemorate the 650th Birth Anniversary of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, is a historic nationwide initiative aimed at taking the invaluable teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji to every section of society. He said that the BJP is not confined merely to paying tributes to saints and great social reformers but is actively undertaking large-scale campaigns to spread their ideals and messages among people across the country.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that the seven-month campaign, which commenced on July 29, 2026, will continue until February 20, 2027 (Magh Purnima) as a nationwide mass movement. Its objective is to strengthen social harmony by carrying Guru Ravidass Ji's timeless message of equality, social justice, humanity, fraternity, national unity and harmonious coexistence to every household. He observed that the teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji remain as relevant today as they were centuries ago and continue to inspire society towards unity and collective progress.
He shared that, as part of the campaign, sacred soil from the holy birthplace of Guru Ravidass Ji in Varanasi is being collected in ceremonial urns and carried to different states and regions across the country. This Sacred Kalash Yatra is spreading the message of faith, devotion and national integration. Through public interaction programmes, community meetings, mass outreach campaigns and various social initiatives, millions of people are being connected with the life, philosophy and teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji. |
