| IIMC opens walk-in admissions for PG programmes across all regional campuses | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 5: The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has announced a fresh round of walk-in admissions for its postgraduate programmes for the year 2026-27. The admissions will be conducted across all five IIMC campuses, including the North Regional Campus at Jammu. Candidates with a valid CUET (Mass Communication and Journalism - COQP17) score are eligible to apply.
Graduates who do not possess a valid CUET score may also seek admission by appearing for the Institute's entrance test, subject to meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria. Admissions will be made in accordance with the approved reservation policy and the category-wise vacancy matrix. The entire admission process is expected to be completed within 15 days.
At IIMC Jammu, vacancies are available in three postgraduate programmes. The Master's in New Media Communication (MA-NMC) has six seats in the Open category, five in SC and two in ST. The Post Graduate Diploma in English Journalism (PGD-EJ) has 16 Open category seats, five SC and two ST seats. The Post Graduate Diploma in Hindi Journalism (PGD-HJ) has four Open category seats, five SC and two ST seats.
Established in the 2012-13 academic session, IIMC Jammu shifted to its permanent campus at Bantalab in December 2022. The campus offers programmes in New Media Communication, English Journalism and Hindi Journalism.
