SAMBA, Aug 7: In a continued effort to strengthen police-public relations and promote community policing, Samba Police today organized Thana Diwas at Police Station Purmandal. The programme was presided over by the SDPO Bari Brahmana accompanied by SHO Police Station Purmandal. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from prominent citizens, youth, senior citizens and members of various sections of society. The objective of the programme was to establish a direct interface between the police and the public, enabling citizens to share their concerns, highlight local issues and strengthen mutual trust and cooperation. Addressing the gathering, the SDPO Bari Brahmana reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of Samba Police to maintaining peace, combating crime and ensuring a safe, secure and fear-free environment for all law-abiding citizens. He emphasized that public participation is indispensable in preventing crime and maintaining law and order. The SDPO urged residents to remain alert and vigilant and advised them to immediately inform the police about any suspicious activities, movement of anti-social elements or any information that could help prevent criminal incidents. The SDPO emphasized for collective responsibility and active public support to eradicate the drug menace from society. |
