JAMMU, Aug 7: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining activities, Jammu Police took prompt action in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah by seizing a dumper involved in the unauthorized transportation of mining minerals.
During routine checking, a dumper bearing Registration No. JK02CL-2426, loaded with sand, was intercepted. Upon inspection, it was found to be transporting mining minerals illegally without possessing a valid Form-A, in violation of the prescribed mining regulations.
The vehicle was seized on the spot, and the matter is being referred to the District Mineral Officer (DMO) for further necessary legal action as per the provisions of law.
Jammu Police remains committed to curbing illegal mining activities and appeals to the public to report any such unlawful practices to the nearest police station. |
