Ramnagar, Aug 9: On the sacred occasion of the 650th Birth Anniversary of Sant Shiromani Shree Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, a grand and spiritually inspiring ‘Kalash Vandan’ ceremony was organized in Ramnagar today under the ‘Samrasata Sankalp Abhiyan’, dedicated to spreading the timeless message of equality, social harmony, dignity and brotherhood. The sacred Kalash, containing holy soil from the revered birthplace of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj at Seer Govardhanpur, Varanasi, was received in Sant Shree Guru Ravidas Mandir in Ramnagar with deep devotion and reverence. Hon’ble MLA Ramnagar, Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj, personally carried the sacred Kalash during the ceremony, leading the procession with devotion and paying his respectful homage to Sant Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj. The sight of the MLA carrying the sacred Kalash became a deeply symbolic moment, reflecting reverence for Guru Ji’s life, teachings and contribution towards social harmony. The first ceremony was held at Shri Guru Ravidas Sabha, Ravidas Mandir, Ramnagar, where the sacred Kalash was welcomed amid devotional hymns, prayers and traditional rituals. Members of Shri Guru Ravidas Sabha and devotees from different walks of life participated with great enthusiasm and devotion. The second ‘Kalash Vandan’ ceremony was held at Ravidas Mandir, Sunetar, where the programme was graced and led by Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj, MLA Ramnagar. Local residents and devotees participated enthusiastically, while Bhajans and Kirtan filled the atmosphere with spiritual fervour. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj Ji paid heartfelt tributes to Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj and said that Guru Ji’s teachings of equality, self-respect, social harmony and brotherhood remain a guiding light for society. Dr. Bhardwaj said that the ‘Samrasata Sankalp Abhiyan’ represents a collective resolve to take forward the noble vision of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji and strengthen the spirit of unity and social harmony in every section of society. He emphasized that Guru Ravidas Ji’s message transcends barriers of caste and social divisions and inspires everyone to work towards a society founded on dignity, equality, compassion and mutual respect. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of devotees, members of Shri Guru Ravidas Sabha, social workers, local residents, BJP office bearers and community representatives. The ceremony concluded with prayers and a collective pledge to uphold and spread the timeless ideals of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj and to strengthen the bonds of samrasta, unity and brotherhood necessary for making India a Viksit Bharat. |
