Jammu, Aug 9: Jodhamal Public School successfully organized JODHAMAL COMFIESTA 2026, an inter-school financial literacy festival, on 8th August 2026 at the school’s campus. The event aimed to equip young minds with essential financial knowledge and practical exposure to the world of investments, stock markets, and digital finance. The competition featured four engaging event i.e. Turn Around Titans, Traders of Today, Reel and Deal and The DPR Arena. More than 150 students from over a dozen leading schools of Jammu province enthusiastically participated in the competition, showcasing their analytical, entrepreneurial, and financial decision-making skills. The Chief Guest, Shri Neeraj Kumar, Reserve Bank Integrated Ombudsman (RBIO), J&K, appreciated this initiative. As part of JODHAMAL COMFIESTA 2026, an awareness session on the Reserve Bank Integrated Ombudsman Scheme (RB-IOS), 2026 was conducted by the Office of the RBI Ombudsman, Jammu. The session educated students and teachers about safe financial practices, grievance redressal mechanisms, and the importance of approaching financial institutions for resolution of complaints before escalating them to the RBI Ombudsman. Through various competitions and simulations, students gained valuable insights into the functioning of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Stock Exchange Sensitive Index (SENSEX) equity trading, investments, financial planning, and digital financial literacy. The event successfully blended learning with healthy competition, encouraging participants to develop practical financial skills at an early age. The Overall Championship Trophy of JODHAMAL COMFIESTA 2026 was won by G D Goenka Public School, Jammu, for their outstanding performance across the various events. The event-wise winners were G D Goenka Public School, Model Academy, and R M Public School in Turn Around Titans; Srijan International School, Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua, and Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu in Traders of Today; R M Public School, KC International School, and G D Goenka Public School in Reel and Deal; and G D Goenka Public School, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, and Stephens International School in The DPR Arena. As the host institution, the Jodhamal Public School team participated in all events for learning and experience but was not considered for awards, ensuring complete fairness and transparency in the competition. The event was meticulously conceived, coordinated, and conducted by Mr. Sidhant Jain, Mr. Ashish Maharaj, Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Ms. Namrata Sharma, and Ms. Sheetal Pathania, whose dedicated efforts ensured the grand success of the programme. Earlier, Jodhamal Public School had also organized a Financial Literacy Workshop for its teaching staff. The workshop was conducted by Shri Surya Kant Sharma, Former Deputy General Manager, SEBI, and Senior Consultant with AMFI, who enlightened the faculty on various aspects of financial planning, investments, and investor awareness Welcoming the participants, Director Dr. Deep Khare expressed delight at the enthusiastic response from schools across Jammu and stressed the need to nurture financially aware citizens from an early age. Principal Ms. Amita Arora highlighted that such experiential learning platforms build financial literacy, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial skills, calling financial education an essential life skill. Trustees Mr. Nandan Kuthiala and Mrs. Arati Kuthiala congratulated all participating schools and the organizing team for the success of JODHAMAL COMFIESTA 2026, appreciating the effort and reaffirming the school’s commitment to holistic education beyond the classroom. |
