JAMMU, Aug 11: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader And Publicity secretary jammu south Pardeep sharma has strongly welcomed the Government of India's decision to bring crucial amendments to the 'Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act' (FCRA) during the current Monsoon Session of Parliament. He described this step as a highly commendable and visionary initiative under the dynamic leadership of PM Narendra Modi, aimed at implementing strict control and decisively stopping the flow of illegal and unaccounted foreign funding into the country.
Sharma emphasized that changing the FCRA, which dates back to 1976, has become even more important in today's complex and rapidly evolving geo-political environment. He stressed the urgent need for strict investigation, monitoring, and tracking of the exact sources of all foreign funds coming into India. He stated firmly that it is absolutely necessary to completely expose those forces funding activities against our country. These may include foreign powers and external elements that constantly conspire to weaken India's unity, sovereignty, and progress.
Sharma emphasized that transparency and accountability are essential in the receipt and utilization of foreign contributions to protect India's internal security, democratic institutions, and development priorities. He mentioned that the continuous reforms undertaken under the Modi government have already made the regulatory framework quite strict, and the proposed amendments will further strengthen the legal structure to prevent the misuse of foreign funds for influencing domestic politics through anti-national activities, religious conversions, or external means.
