Early Times Report REASI, Aug 11: In continuation of its initiatives to promote patriotism, national unity and community awareness, Reasi Police organised a Tiranga Rally from Sool Chowk to Sanjeevani, Kakryal Narayana Hospital, with enthusiastic participation of the staff and students of Delhi Public School, Kakryal, along with local residents. The rally was conducted on foot, with participants carrying the National Flag and raising patriotic slogans. The enthusiastic participation of students, school staff and local residents reflected a strong spirit of patriotism, unity and community participation. After the culmination of the rally, SP Katra, Sh. Kameshwar Puri-JKPS, delivered an awareness lecture on the growing menace of drug abuse and cyber crime. He sensitised the participants about the harmful effects of drug abuse and emphasised the need for collective efforts by students, parents, educational institutions and the community to prevent substance abuse. While speaking on cyber crime, SP Katra advised the participants to remain vigilant against online frauds, suspicious links, fake calls, fraudulent messages and other cyber-enabled crimes. He stressed the importance of following safe digital practices and immediately reporting any cyber fraud or suspicious online financial transaction. The participants were specifically advised to report cyber crimes immediately on Cyber Crime Helpline No. 1930 or through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in, enabling timely intervention to prevent or minimise financial loss. The programme concluded with a call for greater public participation in combating drug abuse and cyber crime and strengthening the spirit of patriotism, unity and responsible citizenship. |
