JAMMU, Aug 12: A delegation of the Shri Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society, led by its Chairman Kiran Wattal, called upon Bajrang Bagra, International General Secretary, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Trustee, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Nyas, Ayodhya, during his visit to Jammu.
The delegation apprised the visiting dignitary about the various activities of the Society, particularly its regular langar services for Shri Amarnathji pilgrims and the continuous publication of the Shri Amarnathji Yatra Guide Book for the last 15 years, which has been serving pilgrims with useful information and guidance.
Bagra was also briefed about the arrangements made during the Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra, which witnessed a record number of devotees this year. The delegation highlighted the extensive arrangements made to facilitate the devotees during the pilgrimage.
He was further apprised of the arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra under the patronage and guidance of Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha. The delegation appreciated the administration's arrangements for the smooth and safe conduct of the Yatra, enabling a large number of devotees to undertake the pilgrimage and receive the blessings of Baba Amarnath Ji (Mahadev).
The delegation also briefed Bagra about the Maha Aarti regularly organised at the Jammu Tawi River Front by the sister organisation, Shri Raghunath Ji Corridor Vikas Council, aimed at promoting Jammu's rich spiritual and cultural heritage. On the occasion, the visiting dignitary was presented with a sacred Pratima of Shri Amarnath Ji, along with a souvenir copy of the Shri Amarnathji Yatra Guide Book and Prasad of the Maha Aarti. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the organisations towards preserving Sanatan traditions, strengthening pilgrimage facilities and promoting Jammu & Kashmir as a major centre of spiritual and cultural heritage. |
