Early Times Report SHOPIAN, Aug 13: Principal, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Shopian, Neetu Gandotra, chaired an important review meeting at DIET Shopian with Principals/Cluster Heads, Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and District Nodal Officers (DNOs) associated with various educational interventions. The meeting focused on expediting the registration, implementation and ground level coverage of key national educational initiatives, particularly the PRASHAST Mobile Application Pre Assessment Holistic Screening Tool for Divyangjan under Samagra Shiksha and the digital learning framework under PM eVidya. During the meeting, the Principal emphasised the need for universal digital onboarding across all schools of District Shopian and stressed upon sustained monitoring and regular follow-up to achieve the desired targets within the stipulated timelines. She directed all ZEOs and Cluster Heads to ensure 100% registration of students and teachers on the concerned portals and to closely monitor progress at the school level. The District Nodal Officers provided a detailed technical orientation on the operationalisation of the PRASHAST application, explaining its role in the early identification and screening of Children with Special Needs (CWSN). The participants were also apprised of the multimode digital learning ecosystem under PM eVidya and its potential to improve access to quality educational resources, particularly for students in rural, remote and underserved areas. The meeting also provided a platform for interactive discussion on implementation related issues. The participating officers raised ground-level operational challenges, which were discussed in detail, with the concerned DNOs and officers suggesting appropriate remedial measures to ensure smooth implementation and timely achievement of the prescribed targets. |
