POONCH, Aug 13: The Indian Army organised a series of motivational and awareness activities at schools in Pharoo Draba, Lower Kulali, Chhatral and Harni, District Poonch, as part of the celebrations marking the 80th Independence Day and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The initiatives were aimed at strengthening patriotism, national awareness, civic responsibility and motivating the youth to contribute positively towards nation-building.
Motivational Lectures at Pharoo Draba and Lower Kuali : Motivational lectures were conducted at Government Primary School, Pharoo Draba, Bufliaz and at Government Higher Secondary School, Lower Kulali by Indian Army. The speakers highlighted the importance of patriotism, discipline, career opportunities in the Defence Forces and the supreme sacrifices made by the Defence Forces in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
The sessions witnessed enthusiastic participation by 98 students and seven teachers. Students actively interacted with the Battalion representatives and showed keen interest in the subjects discussed. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. The school staff expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for conducting the inspiring initiative on the occasion of Independence Day.
'Know Your Nation' Quiz and Awareness Lectures at Chhatral and Harni: Under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the Indian Army also organised a "Know Your Nation" Quiz and Awareness Lecture at Government Higher Secondary School, Chhatral and Government Higher Secondary School, Harni.
The activities focused on enhancing students' knowledge of India's rich history, national heritage, constitutional values, freedom struggle and achievements of the nation. The interactive quiz witnessed participation by 65 students and 10 teachers and provided an engaging platform for students to test and expand their knowledge about the country.
The awareness lectures highlighted the significance of Independence Day, national unity, patriotism, civic responsibilities and the important role of youth in nation-building. Students were encouraged to uphold the values of unity, integrity and harmony and contribute meaningfully towards the nation's progress.
The school authorities and students appreciated the initiative of the Indian Army and expressed their gratitude for organising educational and motivational activities for the youth of the region.
