DBU organises Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Awareness Programme

MANDI GOBINDGARH, Aug 13: Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, awareness programme organised by Desh Bhagat University (DBU) in association with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) and the National Centre for Drug Abuse Prevention (NCDAP), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) at Pinnacle Institute of Fashion Technology (PIFT), Ludhiana.
The programme was graced by S. Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, Member, NISD and Special Invitee, NCCDR, MoSJE, as the Chief Guest. He highlighted the importance of youth participation in the fight against substance abuse and shared information about the support and resources available through NISD and MoSJE.
Sameer, Chairman, PIFT, welcomed the dignitaries and emphasised the institute's commitment to student welfare and social responsibility. Dr. Tulika Mehta, Guest of Honour, spoke about the vision of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and encouraged students to take a personal pledge against drug abuse.
Dr. Atul Khajuria, Director, Faculty of Allied Health, DBU,Dr. Mitali and Dr. Chhavi also addressed the gathering.
Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur, President Dr. Sandeep Singh, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti appreciated the students and faculty for their active participation in the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The programme concluded with an appeal to students and faculty members to become ambassadors of the Nasha Mukt Bharat mission and contribute actively towards building a drug-free Punjab and a drug-free India
