| Randhawa reviews hospital functioning, initiates slab work | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 14: Reiterating his commitment towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving public health facilities, Hon'ble MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa today visited GB Pant Cantonment Hospital, Jammu Cantonment, along with CEO Jammu Cantonment Dr. Nitish Gupta, to review the overall functioning of the hospital and ongoing development works. During the visit, the MLA also initiated the slab work for the expansion of the Laboratory and Store Section of the hospital. The expansion is aimed at further strengthening the hospital's infrastructure and improving the functioning of its laboratory and support facilities. MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa, along with the CEO, took a round of the hospital and reviewed its overall functioning, infrastructure and facilities being provided to patients. He interacted with the concerned officials and took feedback regarding the day-to-day functioning of various sections. Speaking on the occasion, Ch. Vikram Randhawa said that strengthening health infrastructure and ensuring efficient functioning of hospitals are among the key priorities. He stressed that healthcare facilities must be well-equipped, properly maintained and responsive to the needs of patients. The MLA emphasized the need for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infrastructure, patient convenience and service delivery within the hospital. He also directed the concerned authorities to ensure that ongoing works are executed with quality, efficiency and within the stipulated timeline. Ch. Vikram Randhawa said that a strong healthcare system is essential for the overall well-being of society and that every effort must be made to provide people with accessible, quality and modern medical facilities.
He reiterated his commitment to working closely with the concerned authorities for the continuous improvement of health infrastructure and public facilities in the region.
