Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 16: Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, Jammu Rural Police achieved another success by apprehending one drug peddler and recovering 840 grams of suspected cannabis (Ganja) in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kana Chak. A police party of Police Station Kana Chak, while conducting naka checking in the area, intercepted a suspicious person and subjected him to a search. During the search, 840 grams of suspected cannabis (Ganja) was recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Guddu Kumar S/o Mankeshar Singh R/o Piparpanti, P/S Gogri, Bihar. He was apprehended and taken into custody for further legal proceedings. Accordingly, FIR No. 152/2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kana Chak. Further investigation is underway. Jammu Police remains steadfast in its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking and reiterates its unwavering commitment to making society drug-free under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan. |
