Drawing & Slogan Writing Competition held at JKMS

JAMMU, Aug 22: JKMS organised an impactful "Say No to Drugs" Drawing and Slogan Writing Competition in association with Excise department to sensitise students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and inspire them to make healthy, responsible and positive choices.
The event was graced by Kashish Sharma, JKAS, Excise & Taxation Officer, Jammu North, as the Chief Guest, along with distinguished officers of the Excise Department, J&K. A committed and responsible officer, Mr. Sharma is entrusted with important responsibilities in the Excise & Taxation Department, contributing to effective administration and the implementation of government policies. His presence at the school function added great dignity and significance to the occasion. His interaction with the students and words of encouragement served as a source of motivation for the young learners and the entire school fraternity.
Inspector Renu Sharma, Inspector Bikramjeet Singh, Inspector Gagandeep Singh, Inspector Sandeep Sharma, Inspector Danish Sharma and Sub Inspector Varun Arun Sharma (Regional Secretary North BVP) were also present there as a Guest.
The esteemed guests were warmly welcomed by the school with a Tilak ceremony, ceremonial lighting of the lamp and presentation of bouquets. Their presence added significance and encouragement to the awareness programme.
Students participated in both competitions with great enthusiasm, creativity and dedication. Through vibrant drawings and powerful slogans, they conveyed a strong message against drug abuse and highlighted the importance of a healthy and drug-free life.
Drawing Competition:
1st Prize -Akshit Bardhwaj of class 8th
2nd Prize -Avni Thakur of Class 9th
3rd Prize-Ridhima Dogra of class 9th
Slogan Writing Competition:
1st Prize -Anahita of Class 6th
2nd Prize -Riyanshi of class 6th
3rd Prize-Aashna of class 6th
The winners of both categories were felicitated with prizes and certificates presented by the Excise Department officials, appreciating their creativity and meaningful contribution to the campaign.
Chairman of the School Sanjeev Gupta Director Rajni Gupta ,Dean Academics Apurv GUPTA congratulated the winners and applauded the efforts of all participating students. They encouraged the children to spread awareness among their peers and families and become responsible ambassadors of a drug-free society. The programme concluded with a strong and inspiring message - "Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life!" - leaving the students motivated to contribute towards a healthier and brighter future.
