JAMMU, Aug 22: GLDM Degree College Hiranagar Organises Seminar on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Hiranagar: Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial (GLDM) Degree College Hiranagar organised an awareness seminar on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan under the able guidance of the worthy Principal, Dr. Pragya Khanna. The programme aimed to sensitise students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, responsible and drug-free lifestyle among youth. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Community Health Officer, Sub-District Hospital Hiranagar, was the resource person for the occasion. He interacted with the students and highlighted the physical, psychological and social consequences of substance abuse. He also emphasised the importance of awareness, timely guidance and community participation in preventing drug addiction. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Nodal Officer, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, who welcomed the resource person, Principal, faculty members and students. |
