Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 24: MY Bharat is organising Khelo India Samvaad on the even of National Sports Day throughout the country in which Hon'ble Prime Minister shall be virtually addressing more than 8 lakh youth across 1600 institutions. In J&K, the event shall be held in around 50 institutions including IIM Jammu, IIT Jammu and NIT Srinagar. A press conference in this regard was addressed today by Shri Nitin Hangloo, State Director, Mera Yuva Bharat MY Bharat Jammu & Kashmir, Touseef, Incharge SAI Training Centre and Vivek Kumar, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Jammu. During the press conference, it was informed that Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), under the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI), will organise the Khelo India Samvaad programme on August 27, 2026, in connection with the nationwide celebrations of National Sports Day. The major highlight of the programme will be the virtual address of Hon'ble Prime Minister which will be received simultaneously at the identified venues across the country. Following the address of the Prime Minister, the interaction session with sportspersons, youth and public representatives will be held locally. Hon'ble Ministers, Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assemblies will also attend the programme at various locations. A dedicated Yuva Samvaad will provide an opportunity for young participants to share their ideas, perspectives and aspirations on the following four themes viz. Improving the Sports Ecosystem in the Country, Nurturing Talent for the 2036 Olympics, Creating Youth Leaders and Youth Participation in Governance, Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat. |
