NEW DELHI, Aug 26: BJP Senior Leader and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, appreciated the remarkable growth in India's exports across multiple sectors and congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing visionary leadership that has strengthened India's manufacturing capabilities and global economic presence. Er. Gulam Ali Khatana said that the latest export figures demonstrate that India is increasingly becoming a global manufacturing and export hub, with Indian products reaching markets across the world. He highlighted the strong performance across several sectors:
* LG Electronics India is serving more than 50 countries through Made-in-India exports and is expanding its manufacturing and export capabilities.
* India's tanker exports surged more than six-fold in Q1 FY27 to $1.36 billion, with the UAE emerging as the largest destination.
* Maruti Suzuki Fronx became the fastest Indian SUV to cross 2 lakh exports, reaching nearly 90 countries.
* Coconut product exports rose by 62% in FY26, reaching Rs 7,038.35 crore.
* Two-wheeler exports reached a record 5.18 million units in FY26, with further growth expected in FY27 as demand recovers in Africa and other international markets.
* India's exports to Australia increased by nearly 200% over five years under the India-Australia ECTA, reflecting the growing success of India's trade partnerships.
