Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 29: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), Jammu, successfully concluded its Week-Long Induction Program for newly admitted students with a Valedictory Function on August 29, 2026, at the College Seminar Hall. The program was organized with the objective of providing newly admitted students with a comprehensive orientation to the academic environment, institutional facilities, professional opportunities, industry expectations, entrepreneurship, innovation, emerging technologies and overall personality development. Day 1 - August 24, 2026 The Inaugural Session began with Lamp Lighting, followed by Saraswati Vandana. Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Director, YCET, delivered the Welcome Address and briefed the newly admitted students about YCET, its academic environment, facilities and institutional vision. The inaugural program also included the Felicitation Ceremony of the Chief Guest, followed by the presentation of the YCET Diary by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, which acquainted students with important institutional information and activities. The HODs and Applied Faculty were also introduced to the students. The inaugural session continued with an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, followed by the Vote of Thanks by Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics and Head Training & Placement Cell, YCET. This was followed by a Campus Tour, accompanied by Er. Rajnish Magotra and Er. Anupreet, enabling students to become familiar with the college infrastructure and various facilities. After the break, Session-II on "Benefits of Spoken Tutorial Courses" was conducted by Tanvir Singh, Spoken Tutorial Project of IIT Bombay. He highlighted the importance of online learning, skill development and certification through Spoken Tutorial courses. The day concluded with Session-III by Art of Living, focusing on holistic development, well-being and maintaining a healthy balance in academic and personal life. Day 2 - August 25, 2026 Session-IV on "Healthy Mind & Healthy Soul" was conducted by Bharat Yog Sansthan, focusing on mental well-being, positive thinking and developing a healthy and balanced approach towards life. |
