 SHIMLA, Aug 31: SJVN Limited, a leading Navratna CPSE, today held its 38th Annual General Meeting through VC/OAV means from its Corporate Headquarters, Shimla.
Chairman & Managing Director, Bhupender Gupta in presence of Director (Personnel), Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance), Parthajit De, Director (Projects), Rajesh Kumar Chandel, Additional Secretary MoP & GoI Nominee Director, Diwakar Nath Misra, Independent Director, Arti Kujur, Representative of President of India, Director (Hydro) MoP, Santosh Kumar, Joint Secretary, MPP & Power to GoHP & Representative of Governor of HP, Raman Gharsanghi and Company Secretary Soumendra Das addressed the shareholders and highlighted operational, financial and strategic achievements of the company during FY 2025-26.
In his address, Bhupender Gupta informed that FY 2025-26 for SJVN was marked by record generations, significant capacity addition and commissioning of major power projects. SJVN and its associate companies added 1730 MW of installed capacity and achieved its highest-ever annual generation of 13302.390 million units from all operational power stations. SJVN's flagship Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (1500 MW) continued to set new benchmarks in operational excellence by crossing the historic milestone of 150 billion units of cumulative generation since commissioning. The station achieved an impressive Plant Availability Factor of 96.84%. Rampur Hydro Power Station (412 MW) also registered its highest-ever annual generation of 2108 million units while the Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station (60 MW) generated 310.36 million units, surpassing its design energy of 265.5 million units by approximately 17 percent.
Bhupender Gupta further stated that SJVN delivered strong financial performance during FY 2025-26. On a consolidated basis, total revenue increased to Rs 4,722.81 crore from Rs 3,376.50 crore in the previous year, while Profit Before Tax increased to Rs 1,200.63 crore from Rs 1,111.69 crore. Consolidated Profit After Tax stood at Rs 641.85 crore.
On a standalone basis, total income increased to Rs 3,869.66 crore from Rs 3,252.44 crore, while Profit After Tax increased to Rs 1,007.90 crore from Rs 970.18 crore in the previous year. The final dividend of Rs 0.35 per share was approved in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 1.15 per equity share, already paid during the year, taking the total dividend for FY 2025-26 to Rs 1.50 per equity share.
Highlighting the expansion of SJVN's generation portfolio in FY 2025-26, Sh. Bhupender Gupta said that Bikaner Solar Power Project (1000 MW) achieved full capacity commercial operation during the year and crossed one billion units of cumulative generation within a remarkably short period. Dhubri Solar Power Project (70 MW) in Assam was also commissioned. Another milestone was achieved by Buxar Thermal Power Project (1320 MW), where 660 MW Unit-I achieved commercial operation, marking SJVN's entry into large-scale thermal power generation. The 660 MW Unit-II of the project is at an advanced stage and is expected to be commissioned shortly.
FY 2025-26 also saw considerable progress in construction activities at under construction projects of SJVN. The 900 MW Arun-3 Hydro Electric Project in Nepal recorded substantial progress across civil, hydro-mechanical, electro-mechanical and transmission works, bringing the project closer to completion. Despite challenges construction activities at 382 MW Sunni Dam, 210 MW Luhri Stage-I and 69.50 MW Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric Projects gained significant progress in year 2025-26.
During FY 2025-26, SJVN's performance and people-centric practices also received recognition at various national forums. The Company was conferred the SCOPE Eminence Award in Human Resource Management, Rajbhasha Prabha Award, National Clean Industry Awards 2025 and Swachhta Pakhwada Awards 2025. |
