| Samba police tightens noose around bovine smugglers | | |

SAMBA, Aug 31: Continuing its sustained crackdown against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has successfully foiled yet another bovine smuggling attempt in the successive day within the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal and rescued three bovines.
Acting on information received from reliable sources, a team of Police Post Rajpura of PS Ghagwal has successfully foiled a bovine smuggling attempt and rescued three bovines at Rajpura which were being smuggled by foot from Hiranagar side towards Samba side via border road. All the rescued bovines have been shifted to a safer location.
A case FIR No. 87/2026 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
Samba Police urges the public to remain vigilant and share credible information regarding bovine smuggling or other unlawful activities with the police so that timely preventive and legal action can be taken. |
