JAMMU, Sept 4: Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great religious fervour and enthusiasm at Mother's Playway School, Shastri Nagar.
The school premises was beautifully decorated with flowers, balloons and colourful hangings depicting scenes from Lord Krishna's life. A special cradle of Laddu Gopal was set up and decorated by tiny-tots.
Students of Playway and Nursery dressed up as little Radha and Krishna, giving a traditional touch to the whole celebration. A mesmerizing dance performance on devotional songs like 'Radhe Radhe' and 'Mere Kanha' by students enthralled the audience.
Principal of the school spoke about the importance of Janmashtami and teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita. She said such celebrations inculcate cultural values among children. |
