The celebrations were organised by the Student Welfare Committee, AIIMS Jammu. The celebrations commenced with Janmashtami Puja on September 4, 2026, providing an opportunity for the AIIMS Jammu family to come together in devotion and seek blessings on the auspicious occasion. The celebrations continued on September 5, 2026, with a vibrant Janmashtami Cultural Function, featuring cultural performances by students that showcased their creativity, talent and enthusiasm. The occasion also marked the celebration of Teachers' Day, providing an opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the dedication and contribution of teachers in guiding and inspiring students. The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Sinha, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Jammu, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Sinha appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and highlighted the vital role of teachers in shaping competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. He emphasised that patient care, education and research are the core pillars of a medical institution and must progress together to achieve excellence.
