JAMMU, Sept 5: To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of the second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher and a great teacher, Army Public School Damana celebrated Teachers' Day on 05 September 2026 in the school premises.
The celebrations commenced with a special assembly, setting a meaningful tone for a day dedicated to acknowledging the invaluable contribution of teachers. Students of Class XII presented an engaging programme featuring graceful dance performances, melodious renditions, heartfelt speeches, fun-filled games and lively teacher-student activities. The carefully curated programme blended entertainment with appreciation, creating moments of laughter, camaraderie and reflection while celebrating the cherished bond between teachers and students.
Mrs. Pushpinder Kaur, Principal APS Damana, and Mrs. Anurita Koul, Headmistress, addressed the gathering and highlighted the pivotal role of teachers in shaping character, nurturing potential and guiding students towards excellence. Their inspiring words acknowledged the dedication of the teaching fraternity and encouraged them to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of their students.
The occasion was further enriched by the visit of Brigadier Kumar Anand, Commander Chenab Brigade and Chairman APS Damana, along with Lt Col R S Slathia, SO APS Damana.
