Jammu, Sept 6: Reiterating his commitment towards strengthening basic civic infrastructure and addressing the genuine concerns of the people, Hon’ble MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today started the upgradation of lane and drain work in Sector-1, Sanjay Nagar, Ward No. 46.
The development work is being executed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and was started in the presence of Bahu Mandal President Sahil Mahajan and his team, JMC officials including XEN Janak Singh Saini, concerned JE Zaid, the concerned contractor and a large gathering of local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch. Vikram Randhawa said that development at the grassroots level and resolution of long-pending public issues remain his foremost priorities. He said that the upgradation of lanes and drains in the area was a long-standing demand of the residents and he is committed to ensuring that genuine demands of the people are taken up and resolved on priority.
The MLA said that better civic infrastructure is essential for improving the quality of life of residents and assured the people that every possible effort would be made to provide better basic amenities across the Bahu Constituency. He further emphasized that development works should reach every locality and no genuine public issue should remain unattended.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa also directed the concerned JMC officials and contractor to ensure quality construction, proper execution and timely completion of the work, stressing that there must be no compromise with the quality of material or workmanship. He instructed the officials to closely monitor the work and ensure that residents face minimum inconvenience during its execution.
The local residents warmly welcomed the initiation of the work and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa for fulfilling their long-pending demand.
They appreciated his proactive approach towards addressing public grievances and taking development works to the grassroots level.
The MLA reiterated that he will continue to work with dedication for the overall development of Bahu Constituency and the welfare of its people.
