| SSP Samba reviews present security scenario, directs strengthening of security grid and operational preparedness | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Sept 12: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Sh. Anuj Kumar, IPS today chaired a meeting at Conference Hall DPO Samba to review the prevailing security scenario and assess the operational preparedness of field formations. The meeting was attended by Addl. SP Samba, SDPO Bari Brahmana, DySP Hqrs Samba, SDPO Vijaypur, DySP SOG Samba, all SHOs of District Samba, Incharge PCR Samba, Incharge DSB Samba, all Incharges Police Posts/Border Police Posts and other officers of the district. During the meeting, SSP Samba emphasized the need for strict implementation of the VDG's SOP. He directed the concerned officers to conduct regular firing practices and maintain continuous interaction and coordination with the members of VDGs to keep them operationally prepared and motivated. SSP Samba also directed that regular firing practices be conducted for all the SOG and BPPs personnel While addressing the participating officers, SSP Samba directed them to review the tactical positioning of morchas, identify vulnerable points and take necessary corrective measures. He stressed upon the need for regular CASOs, LDP, SDP and strengthening of nakas, patrolling & the overall security grid around Police establishments, camps and other vital locations. Incharge PCR Samba was specifically directed to update and maintain the contact numbers of all security forces and concerned agencies to facilitate seamless communication and better inter-agency coordination in the event of any untoward incident or emergency. The SSP also emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination with GRP/RPF personnel and directed all field officers to ensure effective security arrangements along the railway track passing through their respective AORs. During the meeting, security inputs received from sister agencies and higher ups were also discussed threadbare. Concluding the meeting, SSP Samba called upon all officers to maintain constant vigil, proactive policing, effective inter-agency coordination and operational readiness. |
