| Govt Pharmacists raise key demands in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 12: Province held at Govt Hospital Gandhi nagar Jammu under the Chairmanship of Sh.Sushil Sudan alongwith Sh. Bharat Bhushan Bhagat President Govt.Pharmacists association Jammu Province and S.Jaswinder Singh President (JKMEF) on 12-09-2026 to discuss the demands of Govt Pharmacists . 1. Implementation of Pharmacy council of India ,regulation no; 388/2025/PCI dated;-08-06-2026 at the earliest. 2. Timely conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee. 3. Release of two and half days Salary with arrears in favour of all those employees who are attending Sundays and Gazetted Holidays and are in rooster duties. 4. Restoration of Registered Medical Practitioner(RMP) in favour of Retired Pharmacists. 5. Discontinue the Medical Assistant course from all Govt as well as Private Institutions as the nomenclature of medical assistant was changed to Pharmacist vide Govt order no; 803 HME of 1993 dated;-11-10-1993.In the best interest of the respective students as they will not be eligible for PCI registration under section 32(C) of Pharmacy Act 1948. 6. Filling of the vacant post Junior Pharmacists on priority basis lying vacant in Govt.Health institutions from the last many years for patient health care. 7. The Committee also discussed about the celebration of “WORLD PHARMACISTS DAY” 2026. The association expressed hope that Govt will consider our genuine demands at an earliest.
