Special cleanliness campaign to be organized in Jammu Division from 17th Sept to 31st October

JAMMU, Sept 16: With the objective of promoting public awareness and participation towards cleanliness on Indian Railways, a special cleanliness campaign is being organized across the entire Indian Railways on the theme of "Participation in Cleanliness, Clean India, Developed India". In this series, a cleanliness campaign will be conducted in three phases in the Jammu Division of Northern Railway under the able guidance of Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu, Shri Vivek Kumar. In the first phase, Swachhata Hi Seva-2026 will be organized from 17th September 2026 to 02nd October 2026, in the second phase, Swachhata Pakhwada-2026 will be organized from 01st October 2026 to 15th October 2026 and in the third phase, Special Campaign 6.0 will be organized from 02nd October to 31st October 2026.
Under this special campaign, a comprehensive cleanliness drive will be carried out at all major stations of Jammu Division, railway premises, parking areas, offices, railway hospitals, railway colonies, running rooms and coaching & wagon maintenance depots to make people aware about cleanliness. In this sequence, under Swachhata Hi Seva-2026, various days including Swachh Pathshala - Swachhata for Youth Day will be organized.
During these days, with the active participation of railway officers and employees, Shramdaan will be done to remain vigilant towards cleanliness and Swachhata Pledge will be administered to railway officers, employees and passengers.
Along with this, passengers and employees will be made aware about the importance of cleanliness and diseases caused by dirt through Prabhat Pheri, street plays (Nukkad Natak), banners, posters and slogans.
