| DPS Jammu organises awareness session on ABHA registration | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 16: With the objective of creating awareness about digital healthcare and the importance of maintaining secure and accessible health records, Delhi Public School Jammu organised an awareness session on the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) for staff on September 12, 2026. The session was conducted by Alok Chatta, Nodal Officer (DGNO), Ms. Preeti Rajput, District Information and System Manager, Ayushman Bharat. and Dr. Shivangi Sangotra, District Programme Coordinator, Ayushman Bharat. During the session, the resource persons explained the concept, key features and benefits of ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account), an initiative under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The participants were informed about the 14-digit unique health ID and how digital health records can be securely accessed and managed. The session also highlighted the potential of digital health records in facilitating convenient access to medical information such as health histories, prescriptions and diagnostic reports. Alok Chatta gave a detailed presentation on the functioning and utility of ABHA, while the other resource persons familiarised the participants with the registration process and important aspects of using a digital health account. An informative video was also screened, providing a visual understanding of the initiative and its practical relevance, which was later shared with all parents of the school. The session was informative and interactive, with members of the school staff participating enthusiastically and seeking clarification on various aspects of ABHA and digital healthcare. The resource persons addressed their queries and provided useful guidance. Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji, Pro-Vice Chairperson, DPS Jammu, appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of creating awareness about technology-enabled healthcare services. She observed that greater awareness of digital health platforms can empower individuals to take a more informed and organised approach towards managing their health information. She also appreciated the efforts of the health authorities in taking such awareness initiatives to educational institutions and the school team for facilitating the programme. |
